La Decima, Finally!

The long awaited finally had finalized. Fiuuhhh!! You can't feel the feeling if you're not a Madridista. 12 years! it's the time to fulfill the dream. It's enough time to take a born baby to enter the junior high and probably enough ages to say loud and clear hell yeah, damn finally. That's over react, i know but whatever. After Zinedine Zidane took a wonderful volley shot in Scotland, season after season my Real Madrid keep trying and trying, but always failed. Got knocked down in first round of knock out stage for way "long season", that was hurt man. Those situation ever put Madrid in second pot of favorite list, damn. Olympique Lyonnais, that's damn name to remembered if you are a Madridista. Even after second era of Florentino Perez with Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka we still got knocked down by those name, f'cu'k. It's like a curse for Real Madrid, but don't believe such thing like that anyway. When a days always beaten by Lyon, Real Madrid never able to score in Stade Gerland. And then after finally able to score with their ex forward Karim Benzema, we can get through the semifinal for the first time since 2003. There was UCL progress under Jose Mourinho, but always stuck in semifinal for 3 times in a row, a semifinal hat-trick.
No matter about internal issue or whatever bad rumors about Jose Mourinho in his last season with Real, he was out to go back to Chelsea and Carlo Ancelotti came to Santiago Bernabue with fresh hope. And the hope that finally became happy ending for Real Madrid, the players and all Madridistas around the world.

La Decima fulfil in Lisbon

After Saint Iker lifted the trophy in Estadio Da Luz, the 12 years waiting was worth every damn minute. The first ever derby in the final repeat the first ever final to meet teams from the same country, Real Madrid vs Valencia. In the 1999/2000 season Real Madrid went to final after took down Bayern Munich just like this season. Held in Estadio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica, A perfect homecoming party for Cristiano Ronaldo, Fabio Coentrao and Pepe. Home sweet home

The Decima Journey

Real Madrid joined in group B along with Juventus, Galatasaray and FC Copenhagen. It was tough group because Juventus and Galatasaray was there. September 17, Madrid took flight to Ali Sami Yen, Istanbul Turkey for the first match. Rematch of 2012-2013 quarter final match. Galatasaray brought spirit of vengeance but the match run so easy for Real Madrid, as 1-6 for the final result. Cristiano Ronaldo made hat-trick, Benzema scored two and Isco netted the opener. Second match against the Copenhagen FC, another easy win for Real, 4-0 ( Ronaldo and Di Maria scored two for each ). Third match against the Italian giant, Juventus, but Real handle the match very well with 2-1 win, Cristiano Ronaldo scored two.
Set ninth goals group stage record in Copenhagen
The second round of group stage started with 2-2 draw against Juvenntus with Ronaldo and Gareth Bale that scored for the first time in Champions League with Madrid. Then 4-1 win against Galatasaray, despite the absence of Cristiano, Gareth Bale lead the attack for Real, scored the opening, Arbeloa, Di Maria and Isco scored the rest. Last match in group stage ended with 0-2 win against the host team Copenhagen, Modric and Cristiano scored the goals. Cristiano made a record with 9 goals only in group stage. First place, 16 points, scored 20 goals and 5 goals conceded closed the group stage.

Superb German Tour

German soil never be easy for Real Madrid, but the bright future of La Decima started from here. A Majestic win 1-6 against Schalke in Gelsenkirchen, German. The show of BBC trio, Benzema, Bale and Ronaldo all scored twice. Madrid become first away side to hit six goals in knockout stages. Then second legs, Madrid sets club record with 9-2 aggregate after 3-1 win. Ronaldo netted twice and tally his goals account to 13 while Morata open his account in UCL. Quarter final drawing took Real Madrid faced another German, Borussia Dortmund. First leg held in Santiago Bernabue, April 2. Gareth Bale took Real lead when the game already run in 3 minutes. Isco and Cristiano Ronaldo scored the rest. Real Madrid brought huge advantage of 3-0 win to face to second leg in Dortmund week after.
In this match, Ronaldo equals competition record of 14 goals in season. But he didn't finish the match, replaced by Casemiro when the game entered the last ten minutes. Due to injury in the first leg Cristiano Ronaldo didn't take part in second leg and Real Madrid down 2-0 in Dortmund. First and last defeat of this season in Champions League. Real Madrid payback semifinal defeat to Dortmund last season. German hat-trick! Yes, Real Madrid faced the defending title Bayern Munich, another German teams to beat for La Decima dream. Real hosted the first leg, eliminated in last four in previous three campaigns, Madrid's determination not to miss out on another showpiece at the last hurdle paid off.
Benzema scored the only goal, Madrid took 1-0 win, which was not good enough advantage to face the second leg in Munich. But, Real Madrid showed how the dream of La Decima will get it done! slaughter the defending title in their own stadium. 0-4 win against the Bayern. Sharp defender, Sergio Ramos scored twice with his head and Ronaldo added two goals and made him become the first ever player to have 16 goals in Champions League in one season. It was memorable winning, not just for Real but also for Bayern, they had heaviest home defeat in Europe. And sure for Real, the dream of La Decime is on!

It Ain't Over Till It's Over, Real Madrid Spectacular Return.

Luis Figo presented the trophy
Real Madrid back in final! Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica is the witness how Real Madrid ended the La Decima quest. Against the neighbor, Atletico Madrid that a week before celebrated their La Liga victory and become first team to ended Real Madrid and Barcelona reign in La Liga since Valencia in 2004. Xabi Alonso, Pepe missed the final due to suspended and injury while Atletico had to lost Arda Turan. Diego Costa that reported will miss the final become starter but ended shortly after replaced by Adrian just in 9 minute. The game run so tight in the first half, in 36 minute Atletico took the lead after header from Diego Godin beat Iker Casillas.

The keeper was out of line and had to paid so high for his mistake. Easy goal in hard match. Real Madrid added the attacking strength in the second half with replaced Coentrao and Khedira with Marcelo and Isco. After Khedira out from the pitch, definitely there is no holding mildfield but Madrid handle the game very well and pushed Atletico to pinned back. Madrid was kept trying until the end of 90 minutes. Referee Bjorn Kuipers gave 5 minutes added time. Atletico seemed ready to celebrate their first UCL title along with their fans that yelled out loud and mocked La Decima dream. But in the 90+3 minutes Real Madrid had corner, Modric delivered the ball. And well, Luka Modrić's corner is headed into the corner by Sergio Ramos. BOOM!!!! 1-1.
La Decima Savior
An incredible late drama, La Decima is still alive! The match headed to extra time. Thanks to cameraman that took a shot in vip box where Mr. President Florentino Perez at. We just saw rare moment, President Perez jumped out from his seat to celebrate the late goal. Everybody was so happy!!!

An Unforgettable Extra Time

Goal from Sergio Ramos truly added everything needed for the whole team and the fans. First period of extra time ended with the score still 1-1. Then in the 110 minute of extra time, a brilliant drive from Angel Di Maria attack the penalty area of Atletico, he could released the shot and Thibaut Courtois did a great save, push the ball up in the air. But GOD sent the ball to the head of Gareth Bale. BOOM! another final goal from Gareth Bale after Copa Del Rey. 2-1 for Real Madrid, with 10 minutes left in the extra time Atletico did eveything they could to save the title in their hand. They moved forward and put a leak in their defense area. Was a mistake that when everybody moved forward with tired foot, you left your defense door very open, True! Madrid took an advantage, Marcelo could fire the ball despite Courtois did the save again, he seemed didn't get strong enough hand to keep the ball out, 3-1 for Real Madrid.
Marcelo celebrates the 3rd goals.
It didn't end yet! with two minutes left and leading 3-1 Madrid kept launched the attack, Ronaldo fouled by Juanfran and Madrid got penalty. Of course, Cristiano Ronaldo steps forward to take the penalty. Ronaldo's shot was perfectly sent Courtois to right side while the ball went to the left, 4-1!

The referee blown the whistle and yes!! We get it done what we've been waiting for, La Decima.

HALA MADRID
